What can I do with my junk car that doesn’t run?

my car was really old and the transmission went so it was cheaper to buy a new car. now i have a new car and this old car i dont know what to do with cause it doesnt run. i saw an add in the paper that says they take junk cars and give u a couple hundred bucks. it also says theyll tow it for free. has anyone done this before? is it legit?
